The TraxLink Control System is a digital control device designed for model railroads and trains. This system, known as the WFD-31, functions as a WiThrottle Server without the need for additional software installations like JMRI. By replacing the circuit board in your existing Power Cab Panel or Universal Throttle Panel, the WFD-31 allows for Wi-Fi control of an NCE Command Station, enabling users to operate trains via WiThrottle protocol. Additionally, the device converts WiThrottle commands to NCE CAB Bus commands, facilitating speed, direction, functions, and turnout control.
YOU DO NOT HAVE TO INSTALL JMRI and you need no other computer. WFD-31 acts as a WiThrottle Server similar to that provided by JMRI. The WiThrottle Server is built into WFD-31 firmware so there is so software set-up required. You can however use JMRI AS WELL as your WFD-31 and drive trains.
