The Audient ASP 800 is an 8-channel Class-A microphone preamplifier and audio interface designed for professional recording studios seeking expandability.
Housed in a single 1 RU 19" rackmountable all-metal enclosure, this unit provides eight channels of preamps derived from the company's esteemed consoles.
It features 118 dB A to D converters from Burr Brown and includes two JFET DI inputs, as well as channels with HMX MOSFET drive and IRON Magnetic Transformer Drive color controls for adding vintage character to various instruments.
The front panel showcases two 1/4" DI inputs with dedicated hand-milled knobs for gain adjustment and drive control, along with an array of back-lit LED buttons for phantom power, phase reversal, pad engagement, and color control activation.
