It is a true accurate gauge that will work on 48mm diameter heads. Please note that this gauge will not work on any full-size planers, 15" planers, 13" planers, 16" planers, or 20" planers. If you have the 22-555, 22-560, 22-580, or 22-590 planers, you do not need this gauge as those models use indexable knives.
