1499 INCUNABULA FOLIO antique Sacred letters of St.Paul interpretation INCUNABLE
This rare antique folio from the Incunable era, known as the Pauline Parchment, is a true gem for collectors of Incunabula Antiques. Printed in Paris by Ulrich Gering and Bertholdt Rembolt in November 1499, it is the only incunabula edition of its kind. The folio measures 10 by 14 inches and contains 14 leaves, with 235 numbered leaves of text in two columns with 68-69 lines in Gothic types. The wooden binding features a wide blind-embossed leather spine (restored), with cracks and abrasions on the corners and lacks clasps. This first edition folio includes additions by Gaufredus Boussardus and a woodcut printer's device on the title, along with numerous initials.
