1896 EDUCATIONAL SERIES Designed NEW Legal Tender Modern One-Dollar $1 Bill COA
Top 6%

This product is a new design $1 bill from the Educational Series of 1896. The obverse of the notes features a neoclassical allegorical motif with the first U.
S. President, George Washington, and a special colorization overlay. Each bill is an authentic, uncirculated U.S. legal tender banknote that has been enhanced with beautiful colorized images.
The colorization process is accomplished through a revolutionary new technique pioneered by The Merrick Mint, resulting in a collectible work of art.
The Educational Series was an effort in the 1890s to turn American money into pocket-sized works of art, and the $1, $2, and $5 Silver Certificate bills are still regarded as the most beautiful set of bank notes ever issued in the United States.
