This adapter is designed for M key NVMe drives with PCIe support only and is not compatible with M.2 SATA SSDs or B key drives. The adapter adapts the connectors only, allowing the M.2 drive to communicly with the PCIe bus. It is compatible with 2230, 2242, 2260, and 2280 M.2 drives.
