This Native American Dollar from 2013 features the image of Sacagawea and her child on the obverse, while the reverse design showcases the Treaty With the Delawares, the first formal treaty between the United States and a Native American tribe. The design features animal symbols of the clans of the Delaware tribe, including a turkey, howling wolf, and turtle, surrounded by a semi-circle of thirteen stars representing the original 13 Colonies. The coin was minted at the Philadelphia Mint and comes in a 2x 2 cardboard holder.
The date, mint mark, and “E Pluribus Unum” appear on the edge of the coin. It was signed on September 17, 1778 at Fort Pitt, Pennsylvania.
