Aquarium Health Defense, also known as NeoPlex, is a broad spectrum antibiotic designed to combat external infections in both marine and freshwater fish. When used ed, this product is effective without causing water discoloration or filter bed damage. While generally well tolerated by invertebrates, some delicate species may experience stress. The recommended dosage is 1 level measure per 8 liters of water, to be repeated weekly for up to 3 weeks or until symptoms subside. It is advised to avoid UV, ozone, or chemical filtration methods during treatment, and to remove the product with carbon before reintroducing UV light.
